The Office of Research and Sponsored Program Services will host a virtual workshop entitled Understanding Proposal Budgets.

This session will explain the fundamentals of proposal budgeting, define commonly encountered budget terms and requirements, and highlight Purdue resources available to assist faculty in preparing competitive proposal budgets.
Topics include
- Breaking down a sample budget
- Budgeting with partners and subcontracts
- Responding to sponsor budget requirements
- Understanding facilities and administration (F&A)
- Academic-year salary versus summer salary
- Evaluating cost-share requirements
- Purdue’s cost-sharing policy
- Resources and contacts for budget assistance
Registration is required.
Note: This session focuses on topics of faculty interest and eligibility. Postdoctoral researchers may register; however, if space becomes limited, faculty will be given priority. Students cannot be accommodated.
