The Purdue Sponsored Program Services (SPS) team in partnership with the Finance team has developed a new set of informational videos and infographics to help faculty and staff involved in grant related activities.
Earlier this month, Lilly Endowment Inc. announced that it was committing $100 million to Purdue, the largest gift in the university’s history. This generous grant will have enormous impact in advancing two major Purdue initiatives: the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business to construct of a state-of-the-art educational building, and Purdue Computes to enable the next generation of Boilermaker research breakthroughs.
The annual Office of Research Employee Recognition event recently celebrated 38 colleagues for reaching years-of-service milestones, including Stephanie Willis from Sponsored Program Services, who hit a rare 50-year milestone, and presented Bravo Awards to 30 faculty and staff members. Jennifer Rettig received the 2023 Stacy L. Brown Outstanding Performance Award, which recognizes an Office of Research business staff member demonstrating excellence and commitment in providing customer-focused service.

Beginning next fall, researchers at Purdue will have access to PERA, the Purdue Excellence in Research Administration tool. PERA is an online platform designed to simplify all processes associated with grant applications and regulatory compliance.
The Office of Research is seeking nominations for Purdue’s three most prestigious annual research awards. The deadline for nominations has been extended to Dec. 1.
In recent weeks, research faculty at several universities, including Purdue, have been flooded with solicitations to participate in a foreign talent recruitment program (FTRP). These may have subject lines such as: “2024 Invitation for overseas talents to apply for the Global Excellent Scientists Fund in China” or “Global Excellent Scientists Fund 2024 in China.”
