Proposal Strategy and Development

We support researchers by developing proposal strategies, shaping compelling narratives, and aligning content with sponsor guidelines. We work alongside researchers to coordinate complex submissions, facilitate collaboration, and strengthen proposal quality. We also lead workshops, events, and training programs that help faculty identify opportunities and build competitive teams.

SIR staff engage with faculty, college leadership, and Institutes and Centers at Discovery Park District to foster collaborative research teams, support networking within the University and with federal agencies, eliminate barriers for successful launching of research programs, and provide targeted seed funding for institutional priority areas.

Institutional Support and Cost Sharing

We provide support across Purdue by developing cost sharing strategies for proposals with requirements, identifying campus-wide resources to support the research enterprise, and embedding specialized pre-award personnel to support large center project management.

Strategic Interdisciplinary Research Pre-Award Team

Our team provides strategic, coordinated pre-award administrative support for the development and preparation of large, complex submissions (i.e., for centers whose total expenditures may range from $10M to over $100M during the award period).
