History

Prior to the Institute's formation in 2022, the Climate Change Research Center and the Center for the Environment served to facilitate and promote interdisciplinary environmental research at Purdue and beyond. For more than a decade, these centers worked to approach complex, multi-disciplinary environmental problems—often collaborating with one another. With the inception of the Institute for a Sustainable Future, resources from these centers continue to be directed towards support for, and engagement with, faculty, researchers, and partners.
