Arequipa Nexus Workshops: Energy Efficiency & Sustainability and Sustainable Development for the Water, Energy, and Food Nexus

Dr. John W. Sheffield, Professor of Engineering Technology and PI on projects for the the Arequipa Nexus Institute, will be presenting a 2 park workshop on his projects:

(1) Energy Efficiency & Sustainability

(2) Sustainable Development for the Water, Energy, and Food Nexus

This workshop will include:

(1) Review Educational Platform and final course syllabus on course developed

(2) Discuss & plan synergistic sustainability activities

The Itinerary includes meetings at four Peruvian universities:

(1) March 8 & 11 at Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) in Lima

(2) March 9 at Universidad Nacional del Santa (UNS) in Chimbote (Ancash)

(3) March 12 at Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad del Cusco (UNSAAC) with UNSAAC faculty members, Purdue Prof. Bill Hutzel and Cusco engineer Luis Enrrique Loayza Schiaffino from the Cusco Regional Government’s department for Hydrocarbons (Natural Gas) which is part of the Energy & Mines group http://drem.regioncusco.gob.pe/directorio

(4) March 13-15 at Universidad Nacional de San Agustín (UNSA) in Arequipa.

(3) Discuss the potential development of a new graduate course on the Nexus
