    Biodiversity Research Community Callout Meeting

To help create a diverse, inclusive, and active Biodiversity Research Community, please consider joining an a kick-off/organizational meeting for this group to bring together faculty in biodiversity across campus to address three central questions:

    1. How can we meet the needs of people in our research while sustaining the diversity of plants, animals and microbes that we depend on?
    2. How can we create a research community to benefit faculty members working on biodiversity, in terms of research outputs, funding proposals, as well as community engagement?
    3. What are the short- and long-term goals for the Biodiversity Research Community, and a roadmap for us to achieve these goals?

Areas of interest include but are not restricted to biodiversity in a global context; biodiversity and climate change; earth observation and environmental sensing; big data and artificial intelligence/machine learning; biodiversity in the Anthropocene.

We hope you can join us for a complimentary lunch to discuss this new opportunity. Please feel free to share this invitation with other faculty members who may be interested in this research community.

Join us on Tuesday, September 13th, at LILY G-456, noon-1:30 pm

To make sure we have appropriate space, please RSVP by Friday 09/09. However, if you decide to come at the last minute, feel free to join us even though you did not RSVP!
