ISF Fridays for a Sustainable Future

The first in the Fridays for a Sustainable Future series will take place on Friday Janaury 27 from noon to 1:00 PM in WALC 2124. The topic of dicussion is, "Degrowth: Has the Economy Outgrown the Planet? A conversation about sustainability, technology, and growth". The event will feature panelists: 

• "Dr. Andrew Flachs is an associate professor of anthropology who researches food and agriculture systems, exploring genetically modified crops in India, heirloom seed exchanges in Bosnia, midwestern direct-to-consumer farmers, and our own microbiomes."
• Keeley Evans, (EEE/PoliSci), "Keeley is a Professional Master's student exploring the connection between environmental/climate issues, socioeconomic inequalities and their solutions."
• Miriam Stevens, (EEE/ABE), "Miriam Stevens is a PhD student who primarily works on modeling the expected availability of reusable battery critical materials in the US and is broadly interested in enabling circular economy development at small and large scales."
