Recipients were chosen based on the quality of their research and alignment to the mission of ISF. Purdue’s Institute for a Sustainable Future promotes collaborative research that advances understanding of persistent global sustainability challenges as outlined in the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Fall 2023 ISF-DUIRI Fellowships
January 12, 2024
Following a successful round of ISF-DUIRI projects during summer 2023, ISF continued its DUIRI partnership, supporting 6 students on 4 different projects during the Fall 2023 semester. These interdisciplinary projects promote collaborative sustainability research in areas including climate change, water quality, material science, mechanical engineering and marine energy. ISF supports ISF-DUIRI Fellows by hosting additional professional development activities and facilitate peer networking opportunities. Students share by biweekly updates to ISF and their mentors regarding their progress throughout the semester. Other areas of support can include resources and training for poster development and writing research articles and abstracts. A full list of projects, mentors, and undergraduate research fellows from the Fall 2023 semester are listed below.
