    ISF Research Expo Recap

    April 6, 2023

Less than a year after launching, the Institute for a Sustainable Future hosted its first research expo featuring research in areas of sustainability happening across campus, representing departments and research labs in the Colleges of Ag, Engineering, HHS, Science, Liberal Arts and the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics.  Approximately 40 researchers took center stage, presenting on topics such as forest compositions; historical climate variability, remote sensing techniques, environmental justice, toxicology, water issues, and cyberinfrastructure. Review the full list of presenters and research topics, below.

Purdue’s Institute for a Sustainable Future promotes collaborative research that advances understanding of persistent global sustainability challenges, which broadly speaking, means aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Areas of interest within these goals are represented in ISF by Research Communities, Special Initiatives, and Strategic Research Teams.
