ISF Prepares for "Campus Sustainability Culture Assessment" for Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students
August 25, 2025
As a follow up to the Spring 2025 Sustainability Literacy and Culture assessment administered to campus students in April, ISF, as lead for the "Campus Sustainability Self-study" project, will be running a similar survey from September 15-26th.
The “Purdue Campus Sustainability Culture Assessment, "(IRB-2025-1012), is part of the larger Campus Sustainability Self-study project being led by Purdue University’s Institute for Sustainable Future (ISF). This survey will enable the setting of benchmarks and guide future planning in areas related to campus sustainability. More specifically, the data gathered will help campus partners to:
1. Develop targeted strategies to expand opportunities for faculty, staff, and graduate students to engage in sustainability initiatives.
2. Inform and strengthen current sustainability efforts across campus.
3. Identify barriers and opportunities to promote a stronger culture of sustainability at Purdue.
The survey was developed with input from Purdue faculty, staff and graduate students. Participation in the survey will require approximately 10 minutes to answer questions about habits and practices on campus, such as transportation to and from campus, recycling practices, and other sustainability-related behaviors.
Participation in this study is voluntarily and anonymous. The researchers will not receive any personal data that can link respondent answers to their identities.
The link to the survey will be distributed to some email addresses when it opens, and the QR code will be available on the page when it is open.
The survey will be open between September 15-26th, at which time the survey link will be distributed. ISF greatly appreciates individuals' time and effort in completing this survey.
